Mr. Dunakin’s style is his alone, one born of big city architecture and freeway culture that he has at last brought full circle to his Boulder River Studio in south-central Montana. Here, in the shadow of the legendary Crazy Mountains, he tempers his early creative years with a fresh ear to Nature, passionately weaving quiet strengths found in the Native American style which permeates the Montana landscape.
Each piece is personally designed and created by Mr. Dunakin. His artistic range of experience supports individual articles in this unique line of jewelry: he has designed an array of items from guitars to motorcycles, and worked in almost every imaginable media - acrylics to wood. His focus today is a completed Classic that not only looks good, but does so in a delicate blend of texture, color and balance.
Dunakin Classics break all the barriers! Dramatic combinations of sterling silver and gold, precious and semi-precious stones from around the world are characteristic components of his completed pieces. But also consider the unusual and eclectic blend of fossil ivory, petrified woods, dinosaur bones, python ribs and porcupine quills. As you might expect, Mr. Dunakin produces this dramatic and exquisite popular line with conscientious respect for the planet and all its inhabitants.
